Scholarships are available to first year students. Since they are ranked according to NMAT results, general point average (grade), and interview results, the top 10 are considered University Academic Scholars who are entitled to free tuition and other incidental fees, one round trip transportation expenses from home address to MSU College of Medicine every year and a monthly allowance of P700.00.

Since the tuition free is heavily subsidized by the government, all students are considered scholars and are required to render 2 years of service in the MINSUPALA area for every year he/she is in the medical school. It is hoped, however, that all graduates stay and make a lifetime career of medicine in the MINSUPALA area.
